Not a serious comment, really, but the (kijiji/craigslist; billpay/EFT/ACH) dissonance threw me off as an American/Canadian living in Montreal.Seanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01318435826368619225noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6704573462403312459.post-14125816864161969792018-12-13T17:34:16.746-05:002018-12-13T17:34:16.746-05:00I find it interesting that they would even bother ...I find it interesting that they would even bother with creating such a system for paying your taxes because as mentioned above your not actually paying with bitcoin. It seems to be just a part of the bitcoin craze that followed the large jump in public knowledge of bitcoin. This makes me question how much bitcoin is actually being used as the payment in a transaction rather than being processed through a service like BitPay. Additionally if these bitcoin for goods transaction are common when will business move away from them given bitcoin value continues to decline. Governments take forever to go through their processing even paying tax, then the amount of time the whole process goes through at the end the price of the bitcoin the tax payer payed before could be below or higher then what they actually had to pay. Also, if the price of bitcoins go down then there will be big lost in the money the government gets from the tax moneys. I don't know how this could be a benefit for Ohio.
